BLACK ROCK CITY, NV-- Much rejoicing from Burners Tuesday as the gates to Burning Man are finally open. The entrance was closed Monday after just a tenth of an inch of rain turning the playa into a mixture of mud and clay.
Tuesday we sent KOLO 8 News now's Paul Harris to see how the traffic was flowing and judging by the video he shot traffic is finally starting to move again.
As the burners began to enter the playa once again those without tickets are lining the roads into Black Rock City hoping to find a extra ticket but some will not pay more than face value.
"No, never that is totally not what burning man is about,” said Kyle Gilchrist. “If anyone is out there scalping tickets they don't know what it is about anyways. They are just trying to make a quick buck. "
Some online websites are selling tickets for as much as $1,600 and event organizers caution the public to be aware of scam artists as well.
