LAS VEGAS (AP) - A funeral is scheduled next weekend for a Las Vegas man killed when he tried to draw his own gun and stop two armed assailants in Las Vegas.
The Nevada Division of Emergency Management says services for Joseph Wilcox will take place at 2 p.m. June 22 at the Palm Downtown Mortuary on Main Street, and will be open to the public.
A funeral was held Thursday for slain police Officer Igor Soldo, and a memorial is scheduled Saturday for slain Officer Alyn Beck.
Police say the 31-year-old Wilcox tried to draw his legally concealed handgun and move toward a gun-wielding Jerad Miller when he was shot and killed by Miller's wife and accomplice, Amanda Miller.
