RENO, NV - A slow moving system has brought much colder air and some wet weather into the Truckee Meadows. The system sticks around for about 24 hours. That means we will see scattered rain and snow showers throughout the day into Saturday morning.
A winter weather advisory is in place for the western slopes of the Sierra. As many as eight inches of snow could pile up at the crest. The snow will not be able to stick below 6000'.
By Saturday afternoon we dry out and start to warm up. Saturday will still be cool and breezy but the wind settles down by Sunday with highs in the 70°s. 80°s expected for Memorial Day.
