RENO, NV - Police agencies are urging drivers to be extremely careful, as snowfall led to slick roads in northern Nevada.

Traffic backed up on stretches of 580 and 395 all the way from the Mount Rose Highway to the north valleys Friday afternoon and evening. Dozens of accidents kept troopers and officers busy, none with serious injuries.

The Wells Avenue overpass in Reno was closed for a time because of slick conditions and accidents. It may close again as travel conditions change.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is hoping people stay home, but if they drive, drive slowly and keep seatbelts on.
