RENO, NV - The Food Bank Of Northern Nevada has joined forces with other community organization to offer free lunches to children at various parks throughout Reno and Sparks.
Last summer about 12,000 children participated in program.
The Food Bank says many more children qualify for the free lunch and the locations are within walking distance of their homes
“Actually they just have to show up and eat, any child between one and 18,” Jocelyn Lantrip from the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
A total of 28 meal sites will be offered this summer.
The program will go until August 17th.
