Reno, Nev.—Since the start of the new year more reports of vaccine-preventable disease cases are making national headlines – Measles outbreak in Colorado and Minnesota and the pertussis epidemic in California. Protecting the health of our communities, especially children, is the primary goal of the Northern Nevada Immunization Coalition (NNIC). In honor of Nevada Infant Immunization Week (NIIW), April 23 – 30, the non-profit organization is promoting healthy communities through FREE immunization clinics throughout northern Nevada.

NNIC is reaching out to families with children 0-18 years old to receive any needed childhood vaccinations. The following schedule outlines clinics throughout Northern Nevada’s rural counties.

“Access to vaccines for Nevada’s children is vitally important to NNIC,” Heidi Hurst, director of NNIC, said. “Beating the back to school rush and taking care of vaccinations in the springtime is ideal for parents to ensure that their children get the required immunizations for daycare and school entry. NIIW also comes at a time where more cases of vaccine-preventable diseases are rising at a national level.”

Having lost my six year old son to a disease that is now potentially vaccine preventable, why not? The vaccines that could have saved my child were not available then. Why would you not want to save your child's life and save your sanity? Meningitis can take a healthy child to death in less than 15 hrs.; I know what choice I would make if I could. Sorry to say Amy, you have to be another brainwashed following what the so called 'experts' that comes out of the woodworks advice. Why did just a few years ago they brought the salk vaccine back for the kids to sniff if not inoculated saying we're getting word that polio have diagnosed and doing it for protection? This only lasted if two years at the most, then disappeared again. Why is that? Scare tactics for all people like dear Amy.

His name is 'Dr. Andrew Wakefield' and he has been banned from practicing medicine in his own country of the United Kingdom due to that fraudulent, panic-inducing report. He went as far as to come up the "conclusion" before gathering any statistics or data.
