SPARKS, NV - Want to send your child off to a weekend of fun?

The Presbytery of Nevada was awarded a $12,000 grant to host a free weekend for Sparks Middle School students from January 24 - 26, 2014 at the Zephyr Point Conference Center in South Lake Tahoe, according to an official with The Presbytery of Nevada.

The official says students will stay overnight at the Zephyr Cove Conference Center on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Students can have the opportunity go to tubing on the weekend morning due to complimentary gondola tickets from Heavenly Vail Resorts.

Two survivors from the Jonesboro, Arkansas shooting in 1998 and a survivor from Columbine will be joining the students in an effort to share hope and courage with the students, according to the official.

Registration is limited to the first 100 students.

To register for the event, contact Reverend Howard Dotson at 775-424-3622 or
