Four Murders in Fernley Tied to Death at Mustang Exit

By  |

Lyon County Undersheriff Albert Torres confirms the four murders in Fernley are connected with the death of a man found in a ditch at the Mustang Exit.

Mustang exit is now open according to Washoe County Detectives.

While Torres confirms the connection, he won't go on record as to how the two cases are connected.

Torres tells KOLO 8 News Now crews in Fernley that someone is in custody. Torres says one person came home from work this evening, went inside a home next door to the crime scene on Tamsen, and an intruder immediately ran out of the home. That intruder was tackled by investigators working the crime scene next door. He is in custody on several charges, but the man is not charged with the murders at this time.

Investigators are not releasing the mans name at this time.
