Former Pack Players Czyz, Hunt Invited to Elite Mini Camp

Former Wolf Pack teammates Olek Czyz and Dario Hunt have been invited to compete at the fifth annual NBA D-League Elite Mini Camp.

Czyz played for both the Canton Charge and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this season, averaging 11.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game; shooting 33% from three-point range. Czyz was named All-WAC first team his senior season at Nevada. He is a graduate of Reno High School.

Hunt played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers this season, averaging eight points and seven rebounds per game. He was named to the All-WAC second team and the All-WAC defensive team his senior season. Hunt is the school's all-time leader with 270 career blocked shots.

Four Reno Bighorns players were also selected for the camp. Center Brian Davis, forward DeQuan Jones, and guards Trent Lockett and Ra'Shad James.

Only 37 players have been invited to the Elite Mini Camp, which gives the prospects at chance to compete and be evaluated by NBA scouts. It's a sort of NBA combine for the best players in the Developmental League. 27 players who participated in last year's event went on to play in the NBA Summer League. Eight of those earned invitations to NBA training camps.

The two-day event begins on Monday in Chicago.
