Former Wolf Pack safety Jonathon Amaya has signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 6-foot-2, 205 pound Amaya has played in 38 career NFL games with the Saints and the Dolphins, making 37 career tackles with two forced fumbles.
Amaya signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals last year, but was released during training camp. He sat out all of last season.
He originally signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada back in 2010.
Amaya joins a crowded Wolf Pack contingent in Kansas City. Former Nevada linebackers James-Michael Johnson and Josh Mauga are on this year's roster. And their former head coach, Chris Ault, is in his second season as a Chiefs' consultant.
