RENO, Nev. - Former Wolf Pack head coach Chris Ault has been hired by the Chiefs as a consultant.
Dan Hinxman of the RGJ first broke the story of the one-year deal on Monday. Ault says he could be used to help implement his visionary offense, or to aid their defense prepare to face the Pistol.
Ault’s agent, Bob LaMonte, told the RGJ that he Ault had interest from a handful of other NFL teams including the Vikings, Packers and the Ravens.
Ault won 233 games during his 28 years as Nevada's head coach. He was also the school's athletic director from 1986-2004. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
