Former Employee Suspected of Arson at Cal Neva

RENO -- A disgruntled former employee is behind bars this evening, suspected of trying to set the Club Cal Neva on fire.

Reno Fire Marshal Dave Cochran confirms Anthony Clark is suspected of taking a couple bundles of cardboard into the loading dock elevator, off Lincoln Alley, and setting them on fire at about eight o'clock Sunday night.

Clark was recently fired as a busser from the Top Deck Restaurant.

Reno Police and Fire did show up to the scene to make sure the fire was out, but apparently Clark had already left the scene. Leaving only smoke damage to the elevator.

Two hours later, he was seen by hotel security playing on the machines in front of the restaurant where he used to work.

Security detained Clark, until authorities came back to arrest him.

Clark is booked in Washoe County Jail for second degree arson, among other charges, and is being held on $25 thousand bail.
