Caughlin Fire Is 100% Contained At 1,935 Acres

RENO, NV - The Caughlin Fire which broke out Friday morning is now 100% contained after burning 1,935 acres and destroying 32 homes.

Chief Mike Brown with Sierra Front tells us the fire management team will transition the Caughlin Fire over to Reno Fire Departments at 8:00 a.m. Monday.

Meantime, authorities will be patrolling and helping residents in all impacted areas.

While there's still no clear cause of the fire, Reno Fire Chief Mike Hernandez says all signs point to arcing power lines.

Nearly 10,000 people were force to leave their homes when the fire erupted Friday. Most people returned Saturday night.
