Fire Crews Extinguish Reno Apartment Fire

RENO, NV - Reno fire investigators still don't know what caused an apartment fire in southeast Reno Tuesday night.

Flames broke out at the Rosewood Park Apartments on Mira Loma and McCarran around 6:00 p.m. Investigators tell KOLO 8 News Now the fire began on the apartment's balcony, possibly inside a storage closet.

When fire crews arrived, the balcony was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from nearby fire station 6 on Mira Loma were quick to respond and knock out the flames. They were even able to track down a chihuahua living there. We're told he is fine.

No one was injured in the fire, but one apartment was damaged, and four units are without power or gas for the time being.
