Fernley Shooting Suspect Arrested

FERNLEY, NV - A man is under arrest for the shooting near Fox Peak convenience store in Fernley early Sunday morning.

Around 4:15 AM, Lyon County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gun shots on the 900 block of Jessica Lane. Deputies were notified of an unidentifed Hispanic male slumped over the steering wheel of a car in the parking lot of the convenience store.

When they arrived, they found a 32-year-old male bleeding from his chest and stomach from multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was rushed to Renown ER where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition. His identity is not being released until next of kin is notified.

Richard Page, 20, was later identified as a possible suspect to the shooting. When deputies attempted to contact Page, he fled on foot. A Lyon County Sheriff's Detective was injured during the pursuit. He was transported to the hospital, treated, and released.

Page was apprehended and arrested on five outstanding warrants. He was transported to Lyon County Jail and is facing multiple charges, including Attempted Murder and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
