Fallon's Corkill Wins Another World Title

By  |

Fallon's Jade Corkill won his second straight world championship this weekend at the National Finals Rodeo.

Corkill and his "header" Clay Tryan won the team roping title on Saturday night with a final run of 5.8 seconds. It's Corkill's second straight championship and Tryon's second career win; his first since 2005.

Corkill finishes with $178,056 in earnings this year. That's about $11,000 more than Kollin Von Ahn of Blanchard, Okla., in the final World Standings.

He's the first Nevada native to win two Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world titles.
