Fallon Man Arrested After Leading Police on High Speed Chase

SPARKS, NV - A Fallon man was arrested after leading the Nevada Highway Patrol and Sparks Police on a high speed chase. According to Trooper Michael Edgell, the chase started at 10:09pm for a report of a stolen vehicle on Interstate 80.

The stolen vehicle is a 1988 Chevy pickup and reached speeds over 90 mph. The truck passed by several vehicles recklessly, and hit the side of one vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was not hurt.

29 year old Bryant Jayne, allegedly continued leading officials on a high speed chase until he lost control of his vehicle. The pickup then rolled and he was ejected since he was not wearing a seat belt. Jayne was taken to Renown, but was later released a little after 2am. He was then taken to the Lyon County Sheriff’s office and was booked. He was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, felony eluding of a police officer, and reckless driving.

No word yet if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
