GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) - A 29-year-old former bank teller has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $66,000 from elderly customers at a U.S. Bank branch in Douglas County.
Jeanne Ann Dey of Indian Hills faces up to 10 years in prison at her sentencing set for July 8.
Her lawyer, Richard Davies, asked District Judge Michael Gibbons to postpone sentencing until then so she can begin to pay a substantial sum in the form or restitution.
Prosecutors say some of Dey's victims suffered from dementia.
She originally pleaded not guilty in February but changed her plea as part of a plea bargain agreement to drop additional charges.
