SPARKS, Nev. – Sparks Police Department is looking for anyone who might have information about an attempted robbery at a local Food Mart.

Police tell KOLO 8 News Now they received a 911 call just before 2am on Sunday saying a clerk at the Food Mart on 2191 Pyramid Highway had been pepper sprayed.

When they got to the scene, they were told four males tried to steal several cases of beer. According to police, when the clerk confronted the suspects, one of the males pepper sprayed the clerk. The suspects then ran off.

After reviewing surveillance video, police were able to identify and arrest an 16 year old Sparks resident. His name is not being released because of his age.

Three other suspects are still on the loose. The description is vague, with police only saying they are three Latino males in their late teens to early twenties wearing black or blue sweatshirts.

If you have any information on this, contact Sparks Police at 775-353-2225 or Secret Witness.
