Dust Storm Warning Lifted in Northern Nevada

RENO, NV - Communities across northern Nevada received quite a jolt to the evening Thursday.

A dust storm ripped through the area and caused poor visibility and was accompanied with 40 m.p.h. wind gusts

According to the National Weather Service, the cities affected included Sparks, Virginia City, Fernley, Fallon, Lovelock, Silver Springs and Gardnerville.

But Gardnerville and Carson City residents told KOLO 8 News Now the storm didn't reach their towns.

The National Weather Service lifted the warning at 10 p.m.
