One man's trash is an Earth Day treasure, at least that is what students are hoping to demonstrate this morning after a "dumpster dive."
"After the dive, students will sift through the items and set-up a "display," wrote Natalie Savidge in a prepared release.
The diving begins at 11 am this morning. It is part of a symposium running until 2 p.m. at the Joe Crowley Student Union's Third-Floor Theatre. These are Undergraduate Research Symposium Presentations.
According to the university's web site, the purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for undergraduate researchers the chance to share the results of their research with fellow students, faculty, and others interested in higher education in Nevada and learn what Nevada students are researching on and how they are changing the world one presentation at a time.
The most visually appealing is likely the "Dumpster Dive" using trash from the William J. Raggio Education Building
"Ever wonder about the "trash" that people throw away? Join us as we perform a dumpster dive; you will see that a lot of the trash can be reused or recycled!"
