RENO, NV - The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested a driver for felony DUI and Child Endangerment in Saturday's hit and run accident in Sun Valley that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
Troopers arrested Ryan Gilmore, 31, shortly after they say he sped through an intersection on Sun Valley Boulevard Saturday, rear-ended an SUV, and hit a pedestrian before he fled the scene.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office saw Gilmore's damaged Ford truck on Dandini Boulevard, saying he displayed obvious signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
Additionally, troopers say he was carrying his 7-month-old daughter in the truck at the time of the accident and arrest.
Neither the baby nor Gilmore was injured in the accident, but the pedestrian is undergoing treatment at Renown for serious injuries.
Gilmore is held at the Washoe County Detention Facility on $42,275 bail.
