RENO, NV - A Sparks man is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run Sunday evening.
Police were called around 5:30 to 6th Street between Virginia and Sierra. They found 63-year-old Domingo Maulino in the street. Witnesses say he was hit and the driver drove off, and they offered a description of the car, which police found several blocks away with damage matching a crash involving a pedestrian.
Police say the driver, 24-year-old Liliana Ojeda, admitted hitting Maulino. She was arrested for DUI, hit-and-run and not having a driver's license.
