Driver Hurt in Zephyr Cove Head-On Crash

DOUGLAS COUNTY, NV - One driver is seriously hurt and more people sustained less serious injuries in a head-on crash Wednesday morning at Lake Tahoe on Highway 50.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says shortly before 7AM about a half mile west of Zephyr Cove, the driver of a Cadillac sedan headed east crossed the center line and hit a Subaru headed west. The driver of the Cadillac was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Two young children riding in the sedan with him received only minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe. The driver of the Subaru isn't hurt.
