RENO, NV - A parade for Olympic gold medalist David Wise will shut down a number of streets in downtown Saturday beginning at 4 p.m.
Wise, who won the men's the inaugural freestyle halfpipe in Sochi, became the first Reno athlete to win a gold medal.
The David Wise Parade of Champions will start at 5 p.m. at Center and Fourth streets, proceed down Virginia and Second Streets before ending at Aces Ballpark at about 5:40 p.m. Wise will then thrown out the first pitch and sign autographs at the Reno Aces game.
Street closures will affect traffic until 5:30 p.m. and include:
• North Virginia Street from First to Fourth Street.
• Sierra Street from Commercial Row to Second Street.
• Plaza Street from North Virginia to North Center Street.
