CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - According to court documents, a 20-year-old woman told detectives that three men beat Nevada's chief insurance examiner to death and stole property from him while she waited in a vehicle.
Makayla Blackmore is accused of driving 23-year-old Michael Evans, 20-year-old Anthony Elliot and 23-year-old Raul Garcia to William McCune's apartment, then waiting outside.
The four were booked on murder charges in the April 2 death of the 62-year-old McCune, whose body was found April 6 in the Carson River in Carson City.
According to the documents obtained by the Nevada Appeal, Evans told investigators they used various objects in the apartment to beat McCune and tied him up with duct tape when he struggled.
Evans said they dumped McCune's body in the river after returning the next night.
