'Discover the Dinosaurs' With Your Kids

RENO, Nev. - Take a step back into prehistoric times this weekend at the Reno Events Center.

Discover the Dinosaurs is an interactive exhibit including up to 60 animatronic and museum quality dinosaur replicas.

Parents and kids can wander through the Jurassic time era, but this is more than your typical museum experience. Kids can get their hands dirty digging up fossils and stones. They can even control some of the dinosaurs.

"We're trying mainly to push the education," Steve Rosholt, Show Manager said.

Kids and families are encouraged to get up close and touch some of the dinosaurs on display, as well as learn facts about the various dinosaurs- from the Triceratops to the T-Rex.

"We have our scavenger hunt so you can actually come through and have the parents and kids working together to learn stuff but still have a fun time," Rosholt said.

It's a day full of entertainment. The exhibit also has jump houses, movies, and mazes for the kids to experience. They can even take a ride on a T-Rex.

The exhibit runs Friday June 14th 12 PM to 9 PM, Saturday June 15th 10 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday June 16th 10 AM to 7 PM
*Admission: Adults 13 years and older $17, Seniors 65+ $15, Children $20.
