Reward Offered in Case of Missing Woman at Lake Tahoe

DOUGLAS COUNTY, NV - The search is on Thursday morning in South Lake Tahoe for a woman who's been missing since New Year's Day.

19-year-old Alyssa Byrne from Petaluma, California, has a cell phone that was last used sometime on the night of New Year's Eve in South Lake Tahoe. She was staying at the Horizon Casino in Stateline and attending the Snow Globe music festival in South Lake Tahoe. Family and friends haven't heard from her since seeing her inside the casino early in the morning on New Year's Day.

Douglas County got the case Wednesday afternoon after being given the heads up by South Lake Tahoe police. They don't know if she's in any danger.

Friends and family are now in South Lake Tahoe helping with the search.

Alyssa is five-foot-three and 125 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. She was was seen Tuesday morning, she was wearing a black sweatshirt, black snow boots, and black yoga-type pants with her hair pulled back.
