RENO, NV - Washoe County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for help from the public identifying a person of interest in an assault on a boy at the Sun Valley Skate Park.

Shortly after 9PM Tuesday, July 1, 2014, patrol deputies were notified that a 14-year-old boy may have been the victim of an assault and robbery at the park off 6th Avenue.

Deputies were told of a man who had been acting suspicious at the park that day. Detectives are trying to find that person to determine what, if any, connection he may have to the assault.

Detectives say the man is white and in his late twenties, with curly blonde hair and a tattoo on his stomach. He may have been accompanied by another man who had two pit bulls.

Detectives believe the person of interest may have been at the skate park for much of the day on July 1, and they are interested in hearing from anyone who can provide any information that may help to identify him.

Witnesses are asked to call the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
