Dems Continue to Outpace GOP in Nevada

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada Republicans have some catching up to do.

The secretary of state's office says the number of active Democrat voters increased by 3,915 in April, while 2,485 more voters registered as nonpartisan.

In contrast, Republicans increased their number of active voters
by 2,277 people. That's a notable improvement from March, when the
GOP added 954 votes.

In all, nearly 9,500 Nevadans registered to vote in April.

That means there are roughly 392,000 Republicans and 429,000
Democrats registered to vote in Nevada. Nonpartisans make up
168,000 active voters.

Nevada is an important battleground state that could swing toward either major political party in the November elections.
