Dayton Woman Dies After Rollover In Carson City

An 82-year-old Dayton woman is dead after the vehicle she was riding in crashed on US 50 in Carson City.

Carson City, NV - An 82-year-old Dayton woman is dead after the vehicle she was riding in crashed on US 50 in Carson City.

The accident happened shortly before 9am on Saturday, August 30, when 83-year-old Daniel Drew lost control of his 2009 white Nissan Versa at the intersection of US 50 and E. Nye Lane.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, for unknown reasons the vehicle drove off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder. Mr. Drew lost control of his vehicle as it ran into a ditch and rolled.

The vehicle landed on its wheels in the ditch and Mrs. Leatrice Drew was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Drew was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight with serious injuries.
