Dayton schools were delayed an hour on Tuesday morning because about half of the area's school buses were vandalized.
Transportation officials noticed the vandalism on 13 school buses in the morning.
According to Lyon County Superintendent Keith Sandage, it looked like the vandal or vandals were trying to "knock out" the windows.
Buses from Silver Springs helped transport Dayton-area children to school in the morning.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is now investigating this case.
