RENO, Nev. (AP) - Firefighters are reporting 15 percent containment on separate wildfires in northeastern Nevada, including one burning 4 square miles of rugged and parched rangeland near Tuscarora and another covering nearly 4.7 square miles of Indian reservation near Owyhee and Mountain City.

Federal Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman Lesli Ellis-Wouters said Thursday there are no new injuries and no structures threatened by the Wieland and Cattle Guard fires.

Both were sparked by lightning this week.

Nearly 170 firefighters are on the Wieland fire. It hasn't reached the Ruby Pipeline northwest of Elko.

Additional firefighters and air support are expected on the Cattle Guard fire.

In southern Nevada, firefighters are reporting 90 percent containment of the Carpenter 1 fire and residents are returning to homes on Mount Charleston northwest of Las Vegas.
