The 37-year-old Tampa-area man vanished Thursday night when a deep sinkhole opened underneath his bedroom. Rescuers have detected no signs of life since.
Jeremy Bush, who tried to save his brother, was escorted by a deputy to the front of the house early this morning before the heavy equipment moved into position. He repositioned some flowers from the memorial and knelt with an unidentified women in prayer.
Local officials say crews will try their best to move the house toward the street, so the family can salvage some belongings. Officials and engineers hope to be able to make a better assessment of the sinkhole once the house is removed.
