Update: All east and westbound travel lanes of U.S. 50 are back open in Fallon following a crash Monday morning.

FALLON, NV - A two-car accident has left some NV Energy customers in the Fallon area without power.

Trooper Gibson with the Nevada Highway Patrol says a motor home hit a truck, which ended up hitting a power pole around 9:15 Monday morning on U.S. 50 in Fallon.

He says a white GMC pickup was heading eastbound on U.S. 50 in the center turn lane. A motor home pulling a white box trailer was heading westbound in the number two travel lane.

He says the driver of the GMC pickup made a left turn onto an adjacent street, crossing paths with the motor home. The front of the motor home struck the right side of the GMC.

The motor home and the GMC struck a power pole before coming to a stop.

The driver of the pickup sustained minor injures, according to Trooper Garretson. She says, while the driver of the motor home wasn't injured, a cat riding in the motor home died in the event.

The accident caused 93 NV Energy customers to be without power, according to an official with NV Energy.

Power has been restored to most of the customers, however four customers will remain without power for about four to five hours, according to an official with NV Energy.
