DUI Arrest After Crash on 395 at Oddie in Reno

UPDATE 10:00pm:

NHP arrested 20-year-old Diego Mora-Chavez on suspicion of DUI after he flipped his pickup truck on 395 northbound Sunday night.
Northbound traffic on US 395 was reduced to just one lane north of the Spaghetti Bowl around 5:00 PM.

Trooper Mike Edgell tells KOLO 8 News Now that the Reno resident was speeding in a black lincoln pickup when he lost control. The truck slammed into the center divider, bounced off and rolled several times. When emergency crews arrived, Mora-Chavez refused medical treatment. He was then taken into custody.

Mora-Chavez was the only person in the truck when the accident happened, and no other vehicles were involved. The freeway was reopened about an hour after the accident.

UPDATE 5:50pm:
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Mike Edgell tells KOLO 8 News Now a tow truck is on scene and crews will have the lanes back open within about ten minutes.

UPDATE 5:20pm:
The Nevada Department of Public Safety website now indicates at least one person was injured during this accident.

A witness to the accident posted on the KOLO 8 News Now Facebook site it appears a pickup truck flipped over the center divider. This description matches police scanner reports.

RENO, Nev. -- A traffic accident has traffic tied up on 395 at Oddie Blvd., that is just north of I-80.

Police scanners indicate the crash occurred in the northbound lanes but that traffic in both directions is affected.
