RENO, NV - Highway 395 is fully back open after a crash between Parr and Clear Acre early Monday afternoon.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says no one was hurt, but a trailer is destroyed after coming loose from an SUV and hitting a median. Special equipment was taken in to remove the wreckage.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates the right rear tire and wheel of the GMC Yukon XL separated from the vehicle, contributing to the driver losing control of his SUV. The trailer swayed or fish-tailed for a short distance before rolling over into the center median area, while the SUV remained upright. The trailer stayed attached to the SUV with the safety chains, and neither the driver nor passenger was hurt. They were returning home to Zephyr Cove when the accident happened.

No other vehicles were involved. Debris from the crash blocked both southbound travel lanes. Traffic was initially diverted onto the right paved shoulder for about an hour when crews were able to open the right southbound travel lane. The left lane was back open by about 4:30, once all the debris from the destroyed travel trailer and its contents were removed.
