RENO, NV -- The cost of gas in Reno reached an all-time high on Sunday with a gallon of regular costing $4.26 on average. The price dropped a penny on Monday. The recent spike in prices is being blamed on refinery issues in California.

"It's too high it's taking a crunch out of my pocketbook and what are you going to do?," a driver said.

"It's terrible," another driver said.

The price in Reno is 22 cents higher than a week ago, according to Triple-A.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein is calling for an investigation into the price increase. Meanwhile, California Governor Jerry Brown is allowing processing of the cheaper winter blend of gas ahead of schedule -- a move that is anticipated to lower prices.
