RENO, Nev. – The city of Reno wants to know what you love about your home.

The city is collecting photos of what life in the Biggest Little City means to you. All you need to do is snap a shot that represents what makes you proud to call Reno home. The photo collecting runs through August 26.

Your photo could be the centerpiece of a new website launching in September.

There are two ways to enter. Upload the photo to Pinterest then send the pin, along with your name and phone number, to That photo will then be pinned to the Living In Reno board. Then you can ask family and friends to “like” your photo and possibly help you win the People’s Choice award!

For those who aren’t on Pinterest, you can also just email your photo to the above email address. The City of Reno will put the photo on the board.

A city panel will review the entries and select the top three. The Reno City Council will choose the winner from the finalists.

The winning entry and the People’s Choice award will get four tickets and a parking pass to the Wolf Pack game against UC Davis on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

The contest is open to people of all ages, including City of Reno employees. Only contest judges and their families can’t compete.
