CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Casino mogul Steve Wynn made a rare excursion to Nevada's capital city to meet with Gov. Brian Sandoval and legislative leaders.
Wynn met with the governor at the Capitol, then talked with Democratic leadership in a small office at the Legislature Building.
Afterward, he met with Republicans in leadership offices.
Speaking briefly with reporters, Wynn said he wanted to offer his perspective on the casino industry, which he described as having "real serious health problems."
Wynn's visit Wednesday comes as Democrats prepare to introduce tax measures to increase revenues to raise more money for education and other social services that have suffered deep budget cuts during the recession.
Among ideas being discussed are changes to Nevada's live entertainment tax and closing other tax loopholes.
