Casino Employee Foils Robbery Attempt in Sparks

SPARKS, Nev. -- An employee interrupted an attempted armed robbery in the bathroom of a Sparks casino early Sunday morning.

It happened just after 5:30am inside Rail City on Victorian Avenue. Police say a man pulled a gun on someone in the bathroom, but when the casino employee walked in, the attempted robber ran away. He was last seen on foot, running northbound on 22nd Street.

The man is described as an Hispanic man in his early 20s. He is medium in height with a slender build, shaved head, and beard. He was wearing a black jacket and white undershirt at the time of the attempted robbery.

Secret Witness is offering $1,500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect.
