CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Salvation Army of Carson City needs help for its annual Christmas Distribution event.
Organizers are looking for a warehouse to host the event. The place that has been used to hold this event for years is now leased out.
The Salvation Army needs a warehouse with at least 3,500 square feet. The building must have ample parking and restrooms. The warehouse would be used to store boxed of food and toys, which would then be handed out to 300 families who need assistance this upcoming holiday seasons.
The space is needed from December 10-21. Lt. Mark Cyr, Salvation Army Carson City Corps Officer says “Without a warehouse, it will be very difficult to operate a distribution event. My own facility is simply not large enough to host this large scale operation.”
If you can help call The Salvation Army of Carson City at (775) 887-9120.
