CARSON CITY, Nev. -- An elderly man was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after driving right into a Carson City market.

Carson City Sheriff Deputies tell KOLO 8 the accident happened just after 5 p.m. At the El Torito Bakery and Butcher on East Winnie Lane.

Investigators think the driver was attempting to park when he somehow ended up driving into the store. There are no reported injuries to anyone in the store.

When deputies arrived at the scene they say the driver was out of the vehicle and disoriented. The man told deputies he didn't want to go to the hospital, but because of his disorientation, fire officials insisted on taking him to Carson Tahoe Hospital.

Deputies suspect alcohol did play a factor in this accident.
