CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (AP) - Camp Lejeune has honored seven of its Marines killed in an explosion during a training exercise last month at Nevada's Hawthorne Army Depot.

Members of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force and family of the people killed and wounded were invited to the private memorial service Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Jim Lukeman commanded the division. He promised to provide the families of the Marines any help or support they need.
A battle cross made of the Marines' boots, rifle and helmet were left near photos of each person killed in the March 18 blast.

Seven Marines and a sailor also were injured when the 60-millimeter mortar tube exploded during a field exercise in Nevada's high desert about 140 miles southeast of Reno.
