California Man Arrested on Washoe Murder Charge

INCLINE VILLAGE, NV - A Santa Rosa man has been charged with open murder in connection with a 2013 death in Incline Village.

20-year-old Joseph John Personeni is accused of killing Christopher Elliott. Personeni surrendered at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Thursday, August 21, 2014.

Deputies had been called to Northwood Boulevard at 4AM December 22, 2013, to a report of a suspicious death. Elliott was found dead on his front porch.

According to investigators, Elliott and Personeni knew each other and argued, and then started physically fighting. Testing by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office indicates the death was caused by multiple blunt force trauma.
