RENO, Nev. -- Beer lovers gathered to enjoy some cold ones at the Peppermill Saturday night as part of CANfest.
With a smile on their face and a drink in hand, it was a beer enthusiast's dream as thousands of them gathered to taste some of America's finest beers from a can.
"It's the only time of year you can get any of these beers or taste any of these beers," Jeff Mitchell, CANfest volunteer coordinator said.
"I love the flavors, love it. Everything from sweet to dark," Valerie McCormack, a beer enthusiast said.
It's a festival that gives canned beers the spotlight. Attendees had a chance to taste more than 100 different types of beer, some you probably didn't even know about like Speckled Hen, Dog Tag or Even Keel.
What's a festival without live music and of course drinking games? Those include beer pong and mini trike races.
"It's great for people watching as you can see haha," said Amanda Schramm, beer enthusiast.
As CANfest opens your eyes to the world of canned beers, it's also part of a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Reno Bike Project.
