LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man suspected of murder has been arrested after he led Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies on a chase and pushing his female victim from his car as he fled.
Sheriff's investigators said Friday the man, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested after he barricaded himself inside an apartment in Hawthorne.
The man led authorities on a pursuit late Thursday. As they chased the suspect, investigators say he pushed a woman out of the car in nearby Lynwood. The unidentified woman was found with a gunshot wound to her upper torso.
It was unclear if the suspect knew the victim and authorities didn't say what the motive for the killing was.
