Businesses Cited for Serving Alcohol to Minors

RENO, NV - After conducting underage drinking checks on various local businesses, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office cited 14 businesses for selling alcohol to minors.

The Sheriff's Office says the checks were conducted during the first two weekends in May.

Sheriff's Office Deputies and an underage buyer checked more than 60 businesses located throughout Washoe County on Friday, May 2, Saturday, May 3, Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says they're committed to the safety and security of the public; limiting the availability of alcoholic beverages to minors helps to reduce alcohol related incidents and accidents in the county.
