RENO, Nev. - Fire crews have contained a brush fire which burned most of Thursday afternoon in west Reno.

Containment was reached around 7:15pm. In total the Steamboat fire burned 200 acres near the Truckee River and Mayberry, southwest of 4th Street in the River Flow Drive area above the Steamboat Ditch.

Several crews from multiple agencies battled the fire, working against wind, which calmed down a bit in the evening hours compared to what it was when the fire broke out around 1:30PM.

No cause has been determined.
