Body Pulled From Truckee River

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are investigating a body pulled from the Truckee River Friday afternoon.

About 1:30, police were called to the river, when they found a man face-down in the 400 block of Galletti Way. An officer pulled him out and tried to resusitate him with the help of paramedics. The man was then taken to Renown, where he was pronounced dead.

He didn't have any identification. Police say he was white and between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing black shorts and a grey t-shirt, and has tattoos. On the bank near where he was found, police found a light green "Pacific" mountain bike and a black and red backpack.
